My husband bought The Historic Blue in 2019. It’s a blue 1920’s shotgun-style house (think long and narrow!) in a historic neighborhood. It’s in a great location, nestled within a charming neighborhood, but also close to downtown shops & restaurants, and the local university. My husband and his parents did extensive renovations (I’m talking knocking down walls and a complete overhaul!) to beautifully upgrade the home, while also keeping its historic southern charm. They kept the original wood floors, which are quite the showstopper, and the first thing people mention when they step inside! He and I have since moved away, but have kept the home as a short-term rental property. We’ve now been renting this 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home on Airbnb and Vrbo since the fall of 2023.
